Description: perennial sedge with stout, rounded stems (6-15 ft.) and purplish-brown spikelets spring to summer. Although it is rather vigorous for a small garden, it is an invaluable plant for wetland restoration. It provides food and cover for fish & birds. Tule grows in standing water or muddy areas. Obligate (usually grows in wetlands). Sun.
