Smooth Sumac · Rhus glabra

Description: deciduous shrub (to 15 ft.). The leaves turn a brilliant red in fall. Smooth sumac can spread aggressively and form large thickets. Sumac is a great choice for hot, sunny banks or highway planting strips. Quantity of fruit and excellent cover make this a great shrub for wildlife. Sun, little to no water.
