Description:A beautiful woodlander from the Phlox family, this perennial grows from 6 inches to over 1 foot high. Leaves are opposite, lance-shaped. Flowers are pink to white with pink veins, arranged in racemes of three to twenty, April to July. Native from Alaska to California and east to Alberta and New Mexico. It will thrive in partial to full sun in a deep, well-drained soil in border plantings or in moister places of the rock garden.
