Blue Wild Rye · Elymus glaucus

Description: cool season, perennial bunchgrass (2-3 ft.) with bluish leaves and slender flower spikes (summer). Blue wild rye spreads rapidly and provides excellent erosion control. Facultative wetland (usually, but not always, found in wetlands). Sun/part sun, regular water (can tolerate drought), clay soil ok.
