Salmonberry Jam



  1. Wash and pick over salmonberries.
  2. Measure.
  3. Combine with 2/3 of that amount of sugar.
  4. Stir mixture over moderate heat until sugar dissolves
  5. Turn to high heat; bring mixture to a boil until it has a thick consistency and the berries become clear.
  6. Stir constantly.
  7. When the jam sheets off a spoon, the jell stage has been reached.
  8. Pour into hot, sterilized jars; put on lids and bands.
  9. Place in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
