Western Meadow Rue · Thalictrum occidentale

Description: rhizomatous perennial (1.5-4 ft.) with soft, bluish-green leaves and lots of small greenish-white (female) or purple (male) flowers that shimmy in the wind (summer). Meadow rue is an appealing choice for the woodland garden or perennial border. It grows in forest openings, meadows, & thickets. Part sun, regular water.
